Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu

Meeting at airport on arrival by our staff and transfer to the hotel. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, lies in a broad valley at the edge of the Himalayan Range. Its art and architecture are an interesting blend of Hindu and Buddhist influences.

Day 2: In Kathmandu

Explore the fascinating city of Kathmandu, with its temples and markets, or take an optional excursion into the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 3: Kathmandu / Pokhara(210 km – 6 hours drive)

Pokhara town (2,352 feet) the 25,000+ peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges rise a scant 20 miles away with no intervening ridges to spoil the view.  The mountains are reflected in Phewa Lake, where you can rent a boat to visit its small island temples. Pokhara offers the best mountain scenery in Nepal without undertaking a trek.

Day 4: Fly Pokhara / Jomson and trek to Kagbeni (2810 m /2 hours)

The 20 minutes flight from Pokhara will take you to Jomsom. We will begin trek, following Kali Gandaki river. The trail is rough and barren but mostly flat and you will enjoy view of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna\'s. A medieval looking town, Kagbeni sits in a little oasis and is home to large red gompa.

Day 5: Kagbeni / Chele (3100 m / 6 hours)

During the walk we have scenic picturesque place to stop through the sandy and windy trails. Firstly we reach Tangbe village with narrow alleys amongst white washed houses, fields of buckwheat, barley, wheat and apple orchards. From here we trek forward to Chhusang and after cording the river head up to the huge red chunk of conglomerate that has fallen from the cliff above, forming a tunnel through which the Kali Gandaki follows. We head one to small ride reach at Chele village.

Day 6: Chele / Geling (3570 m / 8 hours)

The climb continues along steep, treeless, waterless terrain, along the side of a spectacular steep canyon to a pass and cairn of rock at 3540m. Then the trail makes a long gradual descent to some chortens on a ridge, before descending further on a pleasant trail to Samar. The Annapurna, still dominated by Nilgiri, is visible far to the south. The route climbs sharply up and down over a series of high passes, before the final descent to Geling.

Day 7: Geling / Charang (3560 m / 7 hours)

The trail climbs gently to the most interesting pass on your trek, Nyi La and descends beneath blue, grey and red cliffs across the valley to a bridge over the Tangmar Chu (river,) then climbs past what is perhaps the longest and most spectacular Mani (prayer wall) in Nepal. Climbing over another pass at 3600 m, the route makes a long gentle descent to Charang. The huge five–story white Dzong (fort) and red gompa (Buddhist temple) contains a fascinating array of statues and Thankas as well as many large paintings of seated Buddhas.

Day 8: Charang / Lo Manthang (3840 m / 5hours)

Today, we trek to Lo-Mangthang with a magnificent view of Nilgiri, Tilicho, Annapurna I and Bhrikuti peak. The trail first descends to Charang Chu Canyon and then climbs steeply after crossing the river. Further the trail ascends gently to the 3,850m windy pass of Lo, from where you can see the Lo-Mangthang Valley. While descending to Lo-Mangthang, views of the walled city appear magnificent with its hills on the Tibetan Border.

Day 9: Lo Manthang rest

Today we will visit Namgyal Gompa and Tingkhar. Namgyal Gompa situated on a hilltop serves as an important monastery of the local community and also as a local court. After visiting Namgyal Gompa continue the tour to Tingkhar, the last main village to the northwest of Lo-Mangthang and stroll back to hotel.

Day 10: Lo Manthang / Drakmar (3810 m / 6 hours)

While returning from Lo-Mangthan, we take a different route than that we came by. Trek to Drakmar via Gyakar with more than 1200 years old Ghar Gompa with Guru Rinpoche as the primary figure. The Gompa is also famous for its rock paintings. According to the legend, anyone who makes one wish at the Ghar Gompa, their wish is fulfilled.
